Ended up in Bathurst, N.B. after another good riding day. Oh yes, she's tired and she's dirty. The Glide definitely has limits.
Guess the boy's still got some jam.
This journal will document my cross-Canada voyage on a Harley in the summer of 2010 and is in memory of Candace, my wife and partner of 35 yrs who passed away in October 2009. I'll be leaving Alberta's "Big Sky" country in early June and heading to the Atlantic ocean. Along the way, I'll visit old haunts, meet up with family, see longtime friends, make new ones and check out sights and roads we always wanted to see. I expect to spend up to 3 months and rack up more than 17,500 kms.
Hey mon ami,
ReplyDeleteComment sa vas? A little french here for the Quebec part of your trip. Bob, you findly stopped mooching off friends and been doing some solo time? Looks like you need a women, spending way to much time alone with your bike. I bet you gave her a good rub down, haha. I know the feeling Carole gets jealous when we ride all day then when we shut her down I spend time cleaning and talking to the old girl, usualy over a few beers. So you going right around the top end or cutting across to Nova Scotia? Thanks for keeping us all informed.
A bientot mon ami, prend soins.
Ger
Heh Bob, Meant to wish you a "Bienvenu au Québec mon ami !!" but by the time I figured how to work the system, it seems more appropriate to wish you a pleasant journey around the Maritimes ...clockwise or counter clockwise; whatever suits your fancy. Would you say the Rockies offer a better view going West or coming East? :)
ReplyDeleteOn another note, a beautiful "hi there" to all the folks, like myself, who are virtually gliding along with you.
Enjoy and see you in a bit,
Denis
P.S. By the way, practically every time I visit the "blog", the song "Born to Be Wild" purs like a kitten within me. Salut ...et bon voyage.
