After 55 years on this planet, I finally laid eyes on my paternal grandparents' resting place in St. Mathieu-de-Rioux, Qc. It was a very good moment.

Some say the apple never falls far from the tree and I'm looking more & more like the tree I fell from. Some days, it could be a pale birch, skin wrinkled and curled. On other days it could be a sturdy oak, just look a those acorns. And then there's those messy Manitoba Maple days or maybe a willow waffling in the breeze. Just depends but definitely a tree now, deep-rooted and leaning into the sun.
This looks like a very touching moment Bob. Thanks for sharing. Nice to hear you are enjoying the countyside scenery. If we get anymore rain out west, you made need a fairy to get from Edmonton to Red Deer. Take care Love Janney & Wayne
